Harvest Fire
I painted this in Fall 2009.
This painting actually started out as "anger". I like how the orange-red came out in interesting strokes, like flames in a fire.
It was cathartic to work on this; the anger I had seemed to burn out on its own as I worked on the painting and added blue and gold to it, which gave it the great green-gold background.
There are different images: a full size, two from my makeshift studio and a close up for detail.
